Meet Mark Wright whom in 2014 won The Apprentice with a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar. He is also one of the investors and partners at Mark More Noise agency.

Mark's story is one that I think a lot of SEO consultants should pay attention to.

Why?

Because he had to sell the SEO business to Lord Sugar first which then he used the same pitch to sell SEO to clients. The key takeaway is that is how Mark got all his success by avoiding what most SEOs do in talking about KPIs and SEO jargon and just simplying what the client is going to get.

Mentors and Masterminds

Mark also dives deep into his mentorship with Lord Sugar and how he says masterminds are not just useful, but actually essential when it comes to entrepreneurship.

Get good at one thing first

I asked Mark an interesting question which is how does he balance all the projects he currently works on?

His answer was blunt saying you should get good at one thing first and master it before you can move onto other things and get good at those things too. His insight was that people get impatient and they want and expect all the revenue that comes with hard work and success but you have to start from the ground up.
