iGaming industry fundraiser to raise £250,000 for Choose.Love to help Ukraine
The iGaming industry is coming together to help raise money to send to https://choose.love which is a UK registered charity. On the site there is a Ukraine Crisis Fundraiser where you can donate specifically to help support rescue efforts to support families enduring war from Russia. Although the campaign has exceeded the 1 million GBP target, the online gambling industry would like to show our collective support for the people of Ukraine.
To show support you can make a donation on this GoFundMe page.
From Rasmus Sojmark from the GoFundMe page
The global gambling industry is a family and what has become clear over the past few days is the strength of responsibility it feels in providing assistance to the people of Ukraine. Most organisations employ people from the country, or have done business in the region, shared a drink with them and above all have made friends with them.
This is why several organisations within the gambling sector have been working together to set up a mechanism to enable everyone to help the Ukrainian people at this time, via this GoFundMe campaign.
After looking at a number of charities, we have decided to direct our support to Choose Love. From our research they do good work, and are able to put to work the money they receive very quickly and very efficiently. “Choose Love does whatever it takes to provide refugees and displaced people with everything from lifesaving search and rescue boats to food and legal advice.” More info about the work that they do can be found on their site.
If you would like to join us in giving whatever you can, we welcome you to do so through this GoFundMe to show together what we as an industry are doing to help.
*If you would like to donate in your company name you can do this by entering your company name as the screen name, while using your personal name for the billing name.
